Yesterday's Play-day with Friends

We did a Vintage Christmas Themed Deco ...... oh Mary when I got home I had lost the green & red ribbon so I used the other plaid you had on both of my pages from you ..... Ok I did the cover and back of my Deco then Candy did the first spread with the sweet children, then Jeri did the great Angels and Mary's wonderful Santa's ... it was so much fun and now I have a fabulous decoration to display for Christmas ....

Last few days - free photo - Sharing

These are photos of old photos of some of my ancestors .... yep that is what I have been up to lately ... I went to the home of a cousin who had discovered lots of ancestors photos and was more than willing to share with me ... my second love is genealogy and maybe that is one of the reasons I love the vintage look so much .... any way hope you can use this in your art it will make them live again ..... be sure to click on the so you get the largest view to copy .....

Cards for Cancer Fundrasier

I have a friend that I send cards to for the New Mexico Cancer Society fundraiser .... just thought you might like to see them ... the square cards as a series of 5 children and they have been hand tinted, even though you don't see the tinting on the children believe me it's there .... the rectangle cards are all the same you are seeing the front of those and the inside ....

Wine Altered Book Slide Show

Sharing

I have gotten off schedule as for Sharing Saturday so I will just post a sharing image no matter what day of the week it is ...... OH I forgot to mention that this is a fabric sample that I thought made a pretty good background ......

A little Halloween

I made a couple of things (actually started them at the Cabin Retreat this past Sept.) and they will be going to my daughter as her favorite holiday is Halloween ......

Circus Elements

well I put my Tim Holtz Tonic scissors to a good work out today .... and my hand is ready for a rest .... these are 34 of each element ..... I only got 1/2 or the ribbons on the tags but they are all cut and ready to go .... maybe tomorrow I can get the rest of the ribbons on and start assembling them ..... yesterdays post shows what they will look like ..... ready to go veg in front of the TV with my darling hubby

Circus 4x4

just got my prototype finished and now to make 33 more ..... I love the Circus theme so much I finally joined in a Fat Book swap, which I had been avoiding till now ... lol .... the photo doesn't show the fact that the clown collars are painted with Twinkling H2O's which gives lots more sparkle to the look .... the back ground is card stock that was inked in several colors then gessoed over and put into the printer using rubber stamp font to print some of the history of the circus ... then I stamped the gold velum border and embossed it ... the clown tag is done on Sheer Heaven paper so I could use the water based Twinkling H2O paint because it would buckle vellum ....

In Your Mind

Today I finished a paper fabric piece and have it listed in my Etsy store ... the in progress post will have the link as to how to make the paper fabric ... this was very interesting to do and stretched my muse some .... the bottle hangs at the end of the piece and is a recycled medical vial

ATC challenge

I have been challenged to create an ATC with the theme of a stripper by the name of "Sugar Velvet Hips" so here she is .... I chose a Silver Screen Trivia card as my back ground and used one of those great pin-up girl images from the 1940's used a little accent flourish stamping and a fancy font from the computer for her name

Work in Progress

well I am not so sure about progress but at least I am working on it ..... lol .... this is a technique making paper fabric I learned about on ABC Altered Books Yahoo group (there is a post on Elizabeth's blog showing the steps to get to this point) so naturally I had to try it out ... now I am working on doing something with it .... so I cut it into strips and did a paper weaving and cutting fringe .... sewed the edges so they would stay together ... now I have collaged some thing on top of it and I will post more progress later ...

Tags, Tickets & Tokens AB

This is a friends book she did the theme I had been saving stuff for to make one for me so I had things to hand and go this knocked out in 2 days ..... my husband had an old Dymo lable maker that has metal tape in it so I used that and did alcohol ink treatments on them ... this friend LOVES metal
