More cards with a bit of twist

These are just a bit different from the normal cards as you can see they open with a bit of a twist ... they were fun to work on since they were a bit different ...

this was to show I could do something more like paperwork and possibly like an altered book or art or junk journal

this one was using lots of gesso, inks, modeling paste, stencils, lace, napkins, digital images, and other stuff I had in my stash ...

Another on Vintage Women

I used the same digital image that I did the boxes with but made it into a Junk Journal ... from scraps and stuff I have had in my stash for years ...

this inside lady image has been in my stash for so long just waiting for the right thing and I finally found it ... 

a lot of the small images and butterflies are digital images some I have had some are new from Etsy shops and tickets are from Tim Holtz collections ...

Small boxes to hold Ephemera

These are from Bohemian Crafting Etsy Shop also ... they are about 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" printed on heavy cardstock the cutout and assembled ... they are in the matchbox style but opens only at one end ... I chose not to put pulls on mine I like the cleaner look but after I load them up I may decide to put pulls of some kind on them ...

Large Ephemera keeper for me

This I saw on a YouTube and thought I really need that and since I use to make handmade books I had all the stuff I needed to make it ... I used Tim Holtz cardstock and has 2 signatures of the same cardstock ...

looking down into it ... see how messy my desk is ... 😁

one page of pockets made from vellum

another page of pockets made from vellum ... the book is 9" tall and uses 2 12x12 cardstock with a 2" matboard spine ... there are 24 pages and the front and back cover both open up to 2 big pockets each ... lots of room for paper ephemera and I am about to make a 2nd one since I have run out of space in the first .... yep way to much stuff

June Junk Journal page

Another Junk Journal page ... the theme on this one is "As Time goes By" ... I watched a YouTube from Bohemian Crafting and she did this swing closure, I loved the idea so much I had to try it out ... I think I will be using this quite a bit ... oh the images are from her Etsy shop ...

Cleaning up the scraps form my desk ... again!!!

ok I had way too many scraps again so ... I thought they were a pretty neat thing to add you a Junk Journal ... oh yes that is embossing on the packaging plastic like the Tim Holtz thing come in ...

Trying out a Loaded Envelope

An online group I am with wanted to do stuffed envelopes of goodies to send out and we were directed to a YouTube channel ... https://youtu.be/OEBiwR8k6mo ... so I signed up and tried it out, well with a few of my own touches ... it's made from a 12x12 piece of double-sided card stock, I used some G45 card stock I had and loaded it with little goodies I have made ...

Some coffee for AlteredBookLover T for Tuesday

Elizabeth over at AlteredBookLover has a T on Tuesdays and I have been invited to join today ... the one requirement is to post something to do with a drink ... either tea, coffee, or some other drink ... so I decided to post from one of my teaching Altered Books a gesso and melted crayon technique that I decorated the spread with a European Blend coffee ... visit Elizabeth's blog and enjoy her work and T Tuesdays ...

A fun little Embellishment for Junk Journals or whatever ...

take a PostCard or make one then add a coin protector glues only on 2 sides, now add a tea card with a bit of lace or ribbon ... now you have a fun bit to add to a page as a journaling card or ephemera ...

Art Retreat via ZOOM

Well, my annual art retreat got canceled but our leader worked up a ZOOM retreat and it was a success ... we weren't able to hug and laugh like we always do but we did have a good time ... here are a few of the things we did ...

these were called "scrapies" which were just made up of little bits left over from other projects and things left on our tables .... they can be RAK's or ephemera for a junk journal ... just fun to make

Decorated envelopes, first one had to be with a flower as a focal point, the second one had to be recycled from a bill-paying envelope with a window, third was stamped and able to mail something in ...

this was a hanging tag with the images and idea provided to us ...

this is a trading coin with a theme of "Things with Wings"

these were thing from a Scavenger Hunt of our studios/craft rooms

the ZOOM meeting were fun, Bingo was played and plenty of talking was done ... all in all, it was a great substitute for our event being canceled
