2nd one to finishe it's self


This one decided it had to be done today also and so I accommodated it and glue, stippled, tied bow and collaged as it told me ...

This one just went together all by it's self ... ok well maybe I did do some H2O painting and some gluing and tearing but it still all said I go together ..... lol ...

I have been tagged

I was tagged today by Dawn and now I have to list 7 things about myself - all in fun :
1. I am a tailor and milliner but I don't do those thing any more can't seem to tear myself away from the art table.
2. I have lived in USA, UK & Middle East, DH's job took us several places before retirement.
3. I have been married 38 years to a fabulous man.
4. We have 2 children and we are very proud parents.
5. We keep vacationing in the Rocky Mountains and love it there but TX will always be our home.
6. I love doing genealogy and do seal some time from my art to peruse ancestors.
7. I look forward to the all the retreats each year because of all the laughing and wonderful people I meet and the fun projects that are created.

Donated for Robin Whittmore's medical fund


This page is being donated to the Robin Whittmore "Fight for Her Life" medical fund ... Robin had Breast Cancer ..... this will be added to other pages and made into a book to be auctioned for this medical fund .... later I will have more photo's of the book and a link to the auction .....

A good way to keep up with your favorite blogs

ok I did the Blogarithm for a while and was not so pleased but have changed to Google Reader per Kathy's recommendation and like it much better .... it sure makes keeping up with all the blogs I like to check out much easier ....... so if you seem to be spending all your time checking all the blogs you like only to realize more have nothing new than the ones that have posted something new .... then get you a blog reader to help manage your time so you can spend more of it doing wonderful art ...... Got word today that my submission for Mermaids Faux Postage was excepted .... the sheet of Faux Postage are on sale NOW at ARTchix Studio online ... the background is Alcohol Ink technique the mermaid tail is layered with mica chips to look like scales, I used Dead Beat Design rubber stamp squiggles for the seaweed and ARTchix gold crown charm ...

What I am up to lately

Well I have been doing some digital art for the last week and even though it takes longer than the hands on I am so use to I have enjoyed it ... but that means I don't have anything to show with this posting ... so if you want to see a small sample go to Jeri Aaron's blog, An Artful Gathering, I did her banner and I have a new banner for my blog ..... Hanging ATC


I had such fun with the other 2 I decided to do another one .... I made Momogami background paper for this one, then added bits and peices, put in a little micro beading bottom right, another image from vintage playing cards some paper flowers enhanced with glitter gel pen/glitter glue/beads and ARTchix Gold German scrap ... piece is 2.5x3.5" + beads & German scrap ... click for larger view
