Small project kits for AG done

ok my friend Jeri Aaron does an Artful Gathering Retreat each July for her online group (you can see the sample of the book she is doing on her blog) ... she is so sweet to ask me again this year to do a small project for the AG ... I have now got the kits together and the samples done .... so I am all fired up in plenty of time for the AG 2008 ...... click to enlarge

3 ribbons (9 to12")
1 fancy brad
1 flourish grunge board
4 x 12" card stock
5 1/2" x 8 1/2" parchment paper
waxed linen thread
beads

I will furnish:
Walnut Distressed ink pad
Versa Mark ink pad
Memories Artprint Brown ink pad
stamps
clear embossing powder
metallic acyclic paints (bronze, copper, pewter)
foam paint brushes
circle & flower punch

Western Play Day

A get together of some wonderful artist resulted in a great play day ...... I demoed the gel medium and masking tape tag (aqua & tea dye) and the paint transfer tag (metallic gold Indian girl) and the UTTE transfer (big cowgirl in hat and small sitting); Kate demoed the Gesso and distressed tag (aqua & yellow) then Brenda started the stamping on slides and Jeri did some alcohol inks on slides; oh yes and there was some alcohol inks on transparencies but I didn't get photo's of that ... a great time was had by all ....... click to enlarge

Renaissance AB RR

This books theme is Renaissance so I chose to do some of Michelangelo's work and since that time was know for inventions and knowledge also I tried to depict that along with a couple of depictions of "The Three Graces" - Verdure, Gladness and Splendor

Masquerade AB for RR

This theme is Masquerade and when I hear that word I think of the Masque Balls they use to have long ago ..... as you can see I put a folded tag holding pocket in the middle of the first spread ....
the middle one is just for fun and the last is a niche with a scrap of velvet that a dress might be made of along with sample flowers to wear in your hair and a make to complete the costume ....... click to enlarge

Sunflowers and Cardinals doesn't that make you think of fresh air, warm sun, bird songs .... well it does me so that's what I did ...... I got the plain little shadow box from this great place on Etsy, From the Heart of Hanes .... then I did the embellishing .... click to enlarge

Reworked Row Houses

ok so some of them just didn't make me happy so I reworked them .... Jeri came by this morning and we were sitting around talking and I was telling her I wasn't real happy with these 4 so she made suggestions and I got out the grunge board and paint and did some slightly different things than she said and these are how they left my house on their way to her house and the swap system ....... oh in case you can't tell the first 2 have actual stenciling done with the negative part of the grunge board ...... there just aren't enough flourishes in the pack of grunge board but that might just be me cause I LOVE flourishes ...... click to enlarge

Peach-Antique Iinen-Walnut Ink

The cover of an 8x8, 7 Gypsy book, I will be working in along with 9 other artist ..... this is the cover of my personal book ...... decorative paper, grunge hinges, chipboard house cut out that I gessoed and reversed printed words on then direct to paper with Ranger Antique Linen ink pad then cut out an image of little girl with her dolly applied it to the house trimmed with antique peach & ivory tatting, roof is covered with Momagomi paper and last but not least a rhinestone broach that is a very pale peridot green, the satin ribbon is really satin smoke coming from the chimney ... then I added a bird charm that I applied gold on top of the silver ....... click to enlarge

Row Houses #1,2,3

ok I added to #1 and now I am happier with it ...... and then today I did #2 & 3 and at the moment am happy with them .... my lady is a transparency and I can see the camera in the refection but couldn't seem to get it out today so you get to see it ... click to enlarge
