Another 2'fer but these are using Tim Holtz tissue paper about a 12" strip doing your first card wherever you want then patchworking the leftover piece into another card

These are what I call 2'fers ... meaning 2 cards out of one technique or focal point. These are using washi tape on white cardstock then cutting out a tree imaged  using the positive and negative images.

Yep it's time to get the started. The one with the deer and snowflakes is from very old paper, I am trying my best to use lots of what I have instead of buying this year ... we will see how that goes    

the star one is using Tim Holtz 3D embossing folder of woodgrain I really like that

Gathering scraps

So there was an online challenge for creating a paper weave card with scraps and I loved the looks of the open weave of the sample card so I had to try ....

but my hands gave out after just one so ... the rest of the scraps ended up like the cards below

 

Cards with Washi tape

 I have been trying out using washi for back grounds or the complete card, As you can see the black and white one is a finished one but the one on top is background only. I haven't figured out what to put on it for a focal point. the other one is probably finished except for a sentiment die cut for on top.

Yep time to make Christmas cards!

Christmas decorations are starting to go up ... I wait till the weekend after Thanksgiving to do mine but I start making cards long before that ...  

the Peace card is done with navy cardstock, spritzed with pearl spray then put into the Snowflake 3D embossing folder and lightly drag silver metallic ink over it, oh about a 1/4" in on all 4 sides was smugged with black to give a bit of shadow ... I stamped Santa on white cardstock then colored then used color pencils the background paper has gold metallic swirled thru it so I took solid red card stock 1/2" wide and laid 1/4" metallic gold stirp over it to surround Santa and put it on a gold metallic card

this is the same red and gold metallic background paper but I die cut the Reindeer/Merry Christmas from gold metallic and put the card front on a gold metallic card   

the poinsettia is made from HaFrey leaf die cut using Tim Holtz metallic paper in red and green then placed in an embossing folder to give demotion and arranged on white cardstock placed on a red card

Thanksgiving is around the corner

 Well, it felt like fall last week and summer this week but the calendar says Thanksgiving is soon so here is me wishing all of you a Happy Thanksgiving...I give thanks for all of my family and friends and my health!

 I saw this fence-looking card on Pinterest and it intrigued me so I sat down to make one. I think I will make more of them it was simple to make ... I also did one other fall card ...
