Still no art ....

but here are some images you might be able to use ...... the packing is still going on I am now packing up all of my studio .... still hoping the move will be before the first of the new year ......

Thanksgiving is very soon

but you might want some images still so I thought I would share ..... I won't be doing any art for Thanksgiving because the studio is still in a mess of culling and packing for the move .... it's now looking like we won't get moved till end of December ... oh dear ... well hopefully I can start off the New Year with some art ...... I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and family .....

well the new house won't be ready till mid Dec. so everything in this house will remain topsy turvy longer than I wanted ...... anyway I did do some Halloween things and hope to get some Thanksgiving things done also ... but who knows ..... hoping everyone is having a wonderful art filled time .... thanks for stopping by

Guess you are wondering "what the heck still no new art" .... well things are still happening in my little part of the world that have had me putting off art but hopefully in a couple of months you will see some new stuff ... the culling and such on the move is coming along ... hubby had some major surgery (which he is doing great on his recovery just not all well yet) ... so thanks to my loyal followers and thanks to the new one for stopping by ever so often to check things out ....... later Linda

Just thought I would tell y'all why I'm not doing much art at this time .... we are downsizing our home by about 1/2 and so I am culling and sorting house stuff like crazy ... it's going to take me a month or more to go thru my studio ... lol ... anyway I hope to be able to do a little art off and on but right now it been very OFF ... I hope everyone is having a wonderful summer and having fun doing their art projects ....... take care and see you around (soon I hope) .... Linda

Something New

While I was at the Arlington Scrapbook Convention last week I came across this vendor named "Loralie Art Stamps", her website is Loralie Designs .... I had told myself I was NOT buying any more stamps I have to many and I don't use them much anymore ....... BUT seeing these I just thought they were so much fun SOOOOOOOOOO I bought a stamp and some of the die cuts from her line ...... the stamps are line design and you get to add the colors in whatever you are working with ... I did this with Tombo markers and a blending pen, then I cut them out and added them to an alcohol ink marbled cardstock  ... this is all I was able to wipe up since then but plan on doing more because they are so much fun ....  click to enlarge

Kari McKnight Holbrook taught a great background sample book class ... Kari is a wonder with the wet medium .... I sat in on the class and got to do several of her techniques ... I am still working on samples to add to the book but these are the ones Kari taught and when I am thru I will bind them with the spiral she gave all the class members ....... thanks Kari ... click to enlarge
