More Cabinet Cards

I have done some more of the altered cabinet cards and I think this will be it for awhile ...... it's getting close to time to think about Christmas cards and such ........ I also have a couple of AB's I need to work on and 2 more dress forms that we commissioned to be finished by middle of December ...... so time to move on ....... click to enlarge

Linda,
These are beautiful. I think my fav is the lady with the purple flowers. She looks so pensive.

Fun stuff, Linda! I always make some special cabinet cards for Christmas, too. Isn't it hard to stop when you are on a roll with those??

Hello Linda,
I have just come across your blog and I am amazed at your work. It's wonderful!!! I am just starting out with altered art and would love to use old cabinet cards. Your post of October 4th 2008 showed your fascinating cabinet cards.
Would you be willing to share your technique with me? Are you working directly on the cabinet card, do you use gesso, or are you transferring the image to another substrate, and if so, what? And what technique do you use for transferring?
I'm quite taken with your style.......... not fussy, but very much tells a story about each of the subjects. I like the idea of adding an imagined history to the photos.
Beautiful!!
