Christmas Tip-in

This is a pure joy to make .... it's a tip-in instead of a Christmas Card ... I used red Glimmer Mist for the background with a stencil and 3 greens sprayed over each other for the tag .... then took a page from my hymnal and crumpled it and used distressed linen inkpad to do direct to paper on the high spots then over that I used metalic gold inkpad to do some of the high spots, heat set that ... used ARTchix German scrap wings behind my lovely image and embellished with fabric poinsettes and ribbon then added just a little bling ....

Christmas Play Day

I had a great day yesterday at a friends ... she had some artist over suppling us with great goodies, samples and wonderful food ... then let us play ..... these are my results .... it's fun to see how many different looks different artist can come up with when given the same goodies ....

Finally new art ......... my stress reliver

I had promised this to a fellow artist a few months ago and life got in the way so it is now complete .... thanks for being patient Susan

I have done some more of the altered cabinet cards and I think this will be it for awhile ...... it's getting close to time to think about Christmas cards and such ........ ATC's & Card form the Retreat weekend

As everyone else sleeps in, I did some ATC's and a Thank You card .... to me the best part of the day is morning having a cup of coffee watch the sunrise and create some art ........ what could be better than that ........ click to enlarge

Circus Box

At the retreat I was also able to make the box for my Circus Book from a swap that took place last year ...... I also decided to make some ATC size clown cabinet cards and a holder to go into the box also ....... click to enlarge

While I was at the art retreat last weekend several of us did Tim Holtz tags ... we had such a good time making these ... and you know me I can't follow the instructions exactly I have to "Make it My Own" ... anyway you will see that several are very similar to his and then there are some not like his at all ....... click to enlarge

Today's offering

I have been working most of the day getting stuff ready for a 4 day "Do Your Own Thing" art retreat I leave tomorrow .... but this just keep at me till I gave up ...... you know how some days YOU get to create and some days the ART creates itself ........ well today this stamp (from Character Construction) keep screaming at me, so I said ok since you won't let me do anything else .... this card just kept putting it's self together ...... now I am pretty pleased with it and it seems to be happy also ..... click to enlarge

Fred Mullett Class

I took a class from Fred this weekend and lets just say I am NOT much good at doing Fred's style of things but I had a BLAST in the classes and really enjoyed his teaching style ... these are some of my attempts .... if you want to see the real thing go to his website .....
