Son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner

ok now I am working on doing a little special arrangement for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner table ...... yep it's the frog prince and princess ... I did some altering to the original frogs, made the little crowns and don't you just love her eyelashes .... lol .... I used some of the leaves from our oak tree that I had dried last year and a little stippling work on a card with fall colors then added the bing in green saying GO GREEN, a little double innuendo .... oh I think I didn't post the response card I did for the dinner, guess I better do that also ..... not sure if you can make it out but it says "he ask her and she said yes" ... the card and invitation were a little more of my digital work ... click to enlarge

Well I am home to stay for awhile and working on

our sons wedding in October, just 7 weeks away, and samples and classes I will be teaching in 2010 ........ yep have to get that stuff ready well in advance ..... at the moment I know I will be doing a 4 day Altered Technique Book Retreat/Workshop, a 3 hours Altered Book class, and a couple of 1 hour Altered Pages class .... if you are interested in any or all of these keep checking the links on the right side of this blog ...... they probably won't be posted till after Oct. 15, 2009 ....... thanks for stopping by and hanging in there with me ..... Official Birth Announcement

I did a little digital work and came up with the birth announcement they will use .......

She has arrived ......

At 8:14pm on Aug. 12, 2009 she brightened this world by coming out to see us .... she weighed 7.56 lbs. and was 20 1/4" long ...... parent and baby are doing great .... GRANDparents are ecstactic ...... I will continue to be on an art hiatus for awhile still but I will be having so much fun ...... later Linda

Fairy Mirror

I am home nursing a badly sprain ankle and today I decided I wanted off the bed and couch so I came into the studio and the Fairy's told me to make a mirror for M&M's (that's what we are calling our little miracle granddaughter that will be born VERY soon) bedroom ..... so here it is ..... click to enlarge

My GG book

Some of my online group friend got together and made me a GG book to honor our first Grandchild (our little miracle girl) ... they were so kind and it made me cry and realize how great it is to have friends all over the country ....... thanks again ladies ...... click to enlarge

Taking a hiatus from art

As several of you have read we will be having our first Grand Baby soon and this GG is doing lots more baby things than art these days .... our daughter is having some problems with her pregnancy she is now bed rest until our little miracle arrives ... I make camp at their house lots and may need to even more in a week or so ... I am sewing burp clothes, receiving blankets now and working up a digital scrapbook that after printing I will do some altering to each of the pages ...... anyway there won't be much going into The Art Sook for about 3 to 5 months because after our little miracle gets here our son's wedding will be very close and I want to give lots of time and detail to that also ... as I do things that I can take photo's of I will post some of them so keep coming back .... I wish everyone health, peace, happiness .... yes this is a photo of our daughter in all of her 8th month glory ...... till next time ...... Linda

I am in an online group that is doing a Fat 4x4 Book and the theme is Lock & Key ... anything you would keep under lock and key or what you think of when you hear the phrase ..... so I decided that the thing I think needs to be kept under lock and key the most is Pandora's Box .... click to enlarge

Went to an Art Retreat in Grapevine

An online group I am in has an art retreat each year for 4 days, it's such fun getting together and laughing and creating art ..... the theme this year was GIRLFRIENDS ... anyway these are some photo's of the projects we did ..... the corsage on the front was one of the small projects then the book was the big project (I am only posting 4 of the 7 spreads) and then we did a German glass edged slide that went into the book (the lady that showed us how to do it gave us each one with our name on it and I put mine on the front of my book), the back has some of the stuff from the weekend - my bunny slipper tag, a large decorated tickets for entrance to a party one night (we all decorated these tickets and then blind drew them after the event and I got this super one) .... we made an autograph book and each of us signed it , I am posting the front cover ... we also made this wonderful little pin nib butterfly and the background is Glimmer Mist .... and then this AWESOME wand was a drawing prize and I won .... enjoy .....
