Holiday Book

I have been wanting something to display for Holiday's in my 1/2 bath so guest can view .... so I finally got around to doing that for most of the Holiday's still need to complete the others ... so here is what I have so far ... oh some are times of the year instead of Holiday's ...

Christmas in July ... ok so it's not July yet

but I am participating in a retreat this July that I have been asked to do a spread for the book that will be done during that retreat ... just thought since I have the spread done I would post it to so I have had a little art time ... click photo to enlarge

Time for the BIG reveal ....

today my new online Altered Arts Workshops site went live ... just click http://abonlineclasses.blogspot.com ... under the tab "Lite Workshops" you will find "RAKS/Cards" and there you will find the tutorial on how to make my latest cardstock flower ... please have a look around and let me know what you think ... Halloween is just around the corner

My arm/wrist/hand is getting much better and in a month I should be able to really start arting again ... but since I haven't been able to do anything for so long I thought I would share photo's of my little Halloween project that got canceled due to health reasons with you ...

Magic Fairy Wand ....

this is one of the special projects ....... I got the Tinker Bell at the Disney store she is about 3" tall and I put her sitting on a bouquet of flowers made from sparkle fun foam and paper flowers with fun foam leaves on top of a wooden dowel I painted silver ...... click to enlarge

I am doing Alphabet art in an Art Journal a friend made me and this is my "D" .... when I finish this book I will teach my granddaughter her alphabets with it ....... should be interesting when she get to school ....... ;-) .... click to enlarge

Got it done ............

When our granddaughter was born I got a super banner kit from a friend - just the pieces - I had to put it together but that was what I wanted to do ..... well she is turning 2 next month and I just now got it done .... can you see what I mean about LIFE getting in the way of some of the things you really want to do ...... click to enlarge

My Altered Art Journal

A wonderful friend gave me this great art journal ... she started it with background papers and odd bits of pages and I am to make it come to life ...... this is my first work and I am so excited about working all thru these great pages ..... I will continue to post as I complete pages ... I am really more of a visual journalist but I am trying to write personal things in this one to go with the visual .......

Flag/Pennant Banner

This was a 5 day challenge from an online group I am in ... we did a step each day so that at the end of 5 days we each had our completed banners .... I used a new Tim Holtz edge die cut on the top and 2 of his new "Spring Sprung" stamps (the bunny and the twigs/leaves) and his Elegant Flourish die for the gold flourish .... the paper flowers are out of scrap paper and tulle on the end flowers, the center one is just paper (you cut/punch out scalloped circles. at least 5, then you punch hole in the center add a brad and scrunch up each of the circles in to balls then unscrunch them one at a time) a friend taught me this ... I kind of cheated and only use 6 or our 9 flags we made because I wanted mine to be for Easter ...... it was fun and now I have another Easter decoration thanks "E" ...... click to enlarge

I am working on this so while I am at Shady Ladies Retreat I can keep all my memories in a cool place ....... will show more later ....

Son's Wedding Rehearsal Dinner

ok now I am working on doing a little special arrangement for our son's wedding rehearsal dinner table ...... yep it's the frog prince and princess ... I did some altering to the original frogs, made the little crowns and don't you just love her eyelashes .... lol .... I used some of the leaves from our oak tree that I had dried last year and a little stippling work on a card with fall colors then added the bing in green saying GO GREEN, a little double innuendo .... oh I think I didn't post the response card I did for the dinner, guess I better do that also ..... not sure if you can make it out but it says "he ask her and she said yes" ... the card and invitation were a little more of my digital work ... click to enlarge
